This was the original announcement in the MTM Forum: Saturday late afternoon.
Venue: TTDI Shell. (facing main road). there is parking just in front of the kiosk.
Time : 3pm-3.30pm
will then adjourn to a Cafe/place to chill-out upon owners vote of hands. They came from all over the place...
A great mini meet, 5 spyders & their owners(with friends) turned up.
Francis & Eveyln were around to take photos, the link will probably be posted here when the photos are uploaded.
As usual, mine was the most standard looking spyder(no bodykit)and Kool's the most extreme looking.
It's good to finally meet up with most of you in here.
Now you know why I don't mod my spyder, with my bulk, no amount of weight saving in the spyder will help ! Maybe CF undies for me might help or my thinning scalp !
After benchmarking other spyders on Saturday, I took off and correctly re-installed the water drip pan right side up below the engine bonnet on Sunday. The front number plate had a loose nut, but I couldn't get to it short of dismantling the front bumper, so wifey shoved a small sponge behind it to keep it in place and not drop down causing the lopsided look as pointed out by everyone - tnigel Thanks for giving me the opportunity to get close with your Spyders and it was nice chatting and meeting up with you guys. Now I know what real enthusiast are!

Kool, I will take up your suggestion ... will get owner to agree to a little makeover (to make the baby shine n stand out more) n wait slowly for someone to fall head over heels in love with it n we all end up happily ever after (win win). Unless the party you mentioned is willing to take it on as is where is basis ???

ok, I do have plans for a group spyder meet (photo) for all known contacts. Been procrastinating on this since my spyder wasnt ready.
it's the spyder 10th anniversary. The US has the Spyder anniversary cross country relay. Nice photos & flag travelling around state. Wanted to do a co-current event on this.
suherman, its bulan puasa, so we could meet for later TT. you are welcomed to our road trips later after raya.
buyou12, Itt glad that you could drop by. We all like the purity of the midship,
yes, it looks rather silly to non-spyders owners esp when similar priced 4dr rockets, boosted; that why such onwers would choose roadsters over cars packed with massive goodies. it's not practical, it's an engine on the wrong side, the list goes on.
thanks all who did make it. spread the spyder lov ;) its such a unpractical car after all :D
And finally …….
this one's very dangerous. just a monday drive to the workshop for servicing, then the chats about the car's potential, then about ideas on what to do, then the disclaimer about staying stock...
then the words 'maybe'...
then you go back home and start drawing a checklist of 'maybes'..
then it all goes downhill to reach the top of the hill.
